'Crazy Rich Asians' star Golding gushes the upcoming movie 'is going to be special,' as he shares the first picture of the rom-com.

AceShowbiz - It's still January, but Henry Golding already has got everyone dreaming of a magical Christmas with the first look at his new movie "Last Christmas", which also stars Emilia Clarke. The "Crazy Rich Asians" actor took to his Instagram page on Friday, January 18 to share the photo from the upcoming romantic comedy movie.

In the image, Clarke and Golding walk side-by-side on the London street decorated with lights as the London Eye, which turns pink, is featured in the background. A hint of the first fall of snow is also seen in the picture while Clarke and Golding appear to have a small talk.

Golding gushed in the caption, "Mark my words, this one is going to be special... First official look at Kate and Tom from @lastchristmasthemovie." He further teased the movie's arrival, "November could not come any sooner!! X"

Set as a holiday romance in London, "Last Christmas" follows Kate (Clarke), who's notorious for making bad decisions, including opting to work as an elf at a year-round Christmas shop. Tom (Golding) seems too good to be true when he walks into her life and starts to break through Kate's barriers.

The movie is directed by Paul Feig ("Bridesmaids", "A Simple Favor"), with the script provided by Bryony Kimmings and Emma Thompson. Feig also produces the movie along with Thompson, Jessie Henderson, Erik Baiers and David Livingstone.

Thompson said that the movie was inspired by George Michael and his songs. "I'd met with George Michael. He was concerned about the homeless, which is a large part of this story," she told Daily Mail. "We spoke a lot about life and death, and there's a lot of that in this film as well." She added, "This is not a George Michael-'Mamma Mia!' movie. It's inspired by the songs, and inspired by him. It's a dramatic romantic comedy."

Clarke, meanwhile, dishes that her character is "not quite fully formed as an adult. She hasn't got her act together." She's "always on her phone, always on Tinder, always getting drunk," the "Game of Thrones" actress shares.

Golding's Tom is the exact opposite. "He's out of sync with the modern world," the actor says of his character. "I think he sees [Kate] as a bit of a lost soul and tries to bring her out of herself."

"Last Christmas", which title is taken after Wham!'s hit of the same name, reunites Golding with his "Crazy Rich Asians" on-screen mom Michelle Yeoh. Also starring Thompson and Rebecca Root, the movie is slated to open in U.S. theaters on November 15.
