The 'Ant-Man' actor and the 'Into the Woods' actor are likely to star opposite Vera Farmiga and Jon Bernthal, who are also reported to join the cast of 'The Many Saints of Newark'.

AceShowbiz - "Ant-Man" star Corey Stoll and "Into the Woods" actor Billy Magnussen are stepping back in time to join "The Sopranos" movie prequel.

Set in 1967, during the race riots of Newark, New Jersey, "The Many Saints of Newark" will chronicle the tensions between members of the city's Italian and African-American crime families.

"The Conjuring" actress Vera Farmiga and "The Punisher" star Jon Bernthal are in talks to lead the cast, and now Stoll and Magnussen have been added to the ensemble, according to Variety.

They will join lead actor Alessandro Nivola, who will portray Dickie Moltisanti, who was a mentor to "The Sopranos" patriarch Tony Soprano and father to Christopher Moltisanti, who was portrayed on TV by Michael Imperioli.

Series creator David Chase co-wrote the film with producer Lawrence Konner, while Alan Taylor has signed on to direct.
