AceShowbiz - Kid Rock has upset city leaders in Nashville, Tennessee after installing a huge neon guitar sign with a base shaped like a big bottom outside his bar.
The sign, which was approved by Nashville City Council officials, has divided locals, with some dignitaries insisting it's obscene and should be removed.
Council member Kathleen Murphy tells The Tennessean she voted against the approval, telling her fellow officials she felt Kid Rock's bum guitar sign "crosses the line between good taste, family-friendliness and I think what we would like Nashville to portray to people who come to visit us".
She said, "If we allow this, what is going to come next?"
It's not the first time Kid Rock has upset city leaders - the singer was axed as the grand marshal of the Nashville Christmas Parade in December following an expletive-laced TV interview.
Organisers at Piedmont Natural Gas, Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, and Tennessee Holiday Productions, decided not to let the rocker front the festive event after the Mayor of Nashville, David Briley, announced he was considering skipping the parade if the singer remained part of the celebrations.
The drama unfolded after Kid Rock appeared on U.S. news show "Fox & Friends" on November 30, and took aim at U.S. TV host Joy Behar, calling her a "b**ch". He later apologised for the language, but "not the sentiment".
He also urged members of the public to lighten up about political correctness, adding, "God forbid you say something a little wrong; you're racist, homophobic, Islamophobic, this that and the other," he complained. "People need to calm down, get a little less politically correct."
The chat took place in Kid Rock's Nashville bar, where he openly swigged whiskey on camera and admitted to having had a booze-filled Irish coffee.
