While the 'Strictly Come Dancing' member only sustains injuries to face, arms, body and legs, his brother Curtis Pritchard needs emergency operation for knee damage.

AceShowbiz - "Strictly Come Dancing" professional dancer AJ Pritchard was injured after he was attacked in a nightclub.

The 24-year-old was with his younger brother, fellow dancer Curtis Pritchard, and two friends when they were attacked in Cheshire, England.

A statement from their family said it was an "unprovoked" assault on December 27.

AJ suffered bruising to his face, arms, body and legs, while Curtis, a pro-dancer on the Irish version of the show "Dancing with The Stars", is due to have an emergency operation in the coming days after sustaining knee damage.

He also had injuries to his eye and face, according to Sky News.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested and released.

Police in Cheshire said in a statement: "Officers attended the scene and found that four men, three aged 22 and one aged 24, had been assaulted. The victims sustained a number of injuries as a result of the incident and were taken to Leighton Hospital for treatment. All of the men have since been discharged."

AJ was partnered with Paralympic athlete Lauren Steadman for "Strictly Come Dancing" 2018 and reached the semi-finals.

Curtis, 22, was due to appear on the upcoming "Dancing with the Stars" Ireland which launches on January 6, but because of his injuries, he won't be recovered in time.

"Dancing with the Stars wish Curtis a speedy recovery. A replacement for Curtis on the show is currently being arranged by ShinAwiL and we look forward to welcoming Curtis back when he recovers," the official Twitter account of the show shared on Saturday, December 29.
