Penn Holderness, a YouTube personality, shares on his channel a video of him singing his own version of the holiday classic titled 'Baby, Just GO Outside'.

AceShowbiz - As the debate over the lyrics of "Baby, It's Cold Outside" continues to heat up, a YouTube personality has put a 2018 spin on the holiday classic to fit in the #MeToo era. Penn Holderness just uploaded on his family's channel a video of him singing his own version of "Baby, It's Cold Outside" and it's really hilarious.

Titled "Baby, Just GO Outside", the song finds the male singer urging his female companion to just leave his home instead of asking her to stay. When the unknown female singer rhymes, "I simply must go," Penn humorously replies, "Uber is right outside." There's also a part of him singing, "Definitely text her right now," in a reply to the lines, "My mother will start to worry."

As for the most controversial line, "Say, what's in this drink?" Penn answers it by singing, "Um, nothing but Sprite." The song ends with the female singer expressing her wish to stay because "it's cold outside," while Penn pleads with her to "just go outside."

The video was also posted on Facebook and garnered more than 18 million views.

Internet user has flocked the comment section of the video by admitting how hard they laughed while watching the video. They also praised Penn for his creativity to rewrite the song. "Hilarious. You should do more Christmas remixes. And post them around right now cause I have to go to school," one user said. "LMAO!!! I seriously cannot stop laughing!! 'Um, nothing but sprite' I may have peed myself a little on that one," another commented.

"Baby, It's Cold Outside" was pulled from several radio stations after listeners complained and deemed the song problematic due to its lyrics. Many have expressed their anger about the decision, explaining how it ridiculous it was. Recently, the daughter of Dean Martin, the original singer of the song, has spoken out about the controversy.

"I was absolutely flabbergasted; it's just insane," Deana Martin said of the controversy. "This is madness, we've gone insane now. It's a sweet flirty, fun, holiday song... There's nothing bad about that song and it just breaks my heart." When asked about what her father would think, she was certain that he would be against the protest as well.

Deana noted, "I know my dad would be going insane right now... He would say, 'What's the matter with you? Get over it. It's just a fun song.' Because he was so sweet. He would never see anything bad in that. He was a great guy, fun guy, nice. And he wouldn't want to do anything offensive; that wasn't Dean Martin. So this has just been outrageous."
