'Swipe up to 'get the look,' ' the British singer cheekily write on Instagram Stories.

AceShowbiz - Ed Sheeran and Beyonce Knowles' latest duet at Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 in South Africa on Sunday, December 2 sparked discussion regarding people's expectations of men and women. That went down after the global stars took the stage in such clashing stage outfits.

Beyonce, staying true to her diva status, opted for a sculptural fuchsia gown with a long train by Ashi Studio. Offering a stark contrast was Ed, who was wildly underdressed in a super casual outfit. The "Shape of You" singer seemingly chose comfort over fashion as he slipped into a black T-shirt by U.K. skateboard brand Hoax, a white long-sleeved tee, dark jeans and sneakers.

In response to th internet uproar, the "Perfect" hitmaker took to Instagram Stories to repost an article that was titled "People Are Angry Ed Sheeran Wore a Shirt while Beyonce Wore Couture During their Global Citizen Performance."

"Swipe up to 'get the look,' " the British singer cheekily wrote. In addition, he added the hashtag "dresstoimpress" at the end of his caption. The Grammy-winning singer seemingly acknowledged the constrast fashion during his and the "Lemonade" singer's as he joked about where to find more of his "amazing fashion choices."

Internet previously criticized Ed for dressing down for the stage as one viral tweet read, "Ed Sheeran is a 27 year old man the fact we've enabled him to feel it’s ok to dress like this at all, let alone next to Beyonce really boils my piss," alongside a snap of them during the stage.

Another user echoed the statement, writing, "I get this. Even tho I appreciate good musicians in normal clothes the double standard is ridiculous... what is expected of female vs male artists."

Ed is no stranger being bullied by Internet trolls. The "Happier" singer previously announced that he couldn't take the bully any longer that he decided to "come off Twitter completely." He said in 2017, "I go on it and there's nothing but people saying mean things. Twitter's a platform for that. One comment ruins your day. But that’s why I've come off it."
