AceShowbiz - Benny Blanco has united a rather interesting collaborators for his new song "Roses". Released on Wednesday, December 5, the heartbreak anthem features rising star Juice WRLD joining forces with Panic at the Disco.

The song finds the unlikely duo regretting their choice of dating a girl who only dumps them in the end. Juice takes over most of the verses of the song, with Brendon Urie only appearing towards the end of the song to deliver his own emo verses. They later harmonize their vocals on the chorus, singing, "Roses are red, violets are blue/ My heart is dead, I'm such a fool/ Why did I fall for you?/ I gave it all for you."

In an interview with Zane Lowe of Beats 1, Benny explained how the collaboration came to happen, noting that the pairing of Juice and Brendon was something he wanted to do for a long time. "When this whole wave started with the emo rapping, it's everything goes in wave. All these kids, Juice WRLD and these types of guys they grew up worshipping these guys," the record producer said.

"I was like, how has no one done this yet? How has no one put together the emo dudes with the emo rappers?" he continued saying, adding that he and Juice had recorded over 50 songs before enlisting Brendon on the song. "We've probably made 50 records, but it was the first one we ever made and I always loved it so much and I was like, 'Bro, how are we not putting the dude from Panic at the Disco on this, Brendon Urie?' And he was just like, 'Dude you know him?' And I was like, 'Yeah.' "

After the exchange, Benny contacted the "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" singer to invite him on the track, and he immediately agreed to do it.
