Directed by Warren Fu, the music video for 'It's Not Living (If It's Not With You)' is a tribute to Talking Heads' concert film 'Stop Making Sense'.

AceShowbiz - Following the release of their new album "A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationship", The 1975 treated fans to a music video for its single "It's Not Living (If It's Not With You)" on Monday, December 3. Directed by Warren Fu, the clip finds the British pop band paying tribute to the classic Talking Heads concert film "Stop Making Sense".

It opens with frontman Matty Healy sleeping backstage before a show, with one of his bandmate waking him up to tell him that it is time to perform. Sporting an oversized suit that looks similar to what David Bryne wore at the concert, Healy performs normally until he sees a lot of strange things during the band's set.

From seeing doubles and literally losing his mouth, it proves to be too much for Healy as he needs to go off stage and clears his mind. But when he goes outside to get some fresh air, he walks into the music video set for "Sincerity Is Scary" music video and watches his other self filming the sidewalk musical. Getting more confused, he goes back to the stage only to get himself drowning in his own suit.

Fortunately for him, all the strange things that are happening to him are merely a dream. The end of the clip sees him waking up backstage and performing normally.

"A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships" was released on November 30 and garnered almost universal praised from critics. The band will also unveil a new album called "Notes on a Conditional Form" next year, though the exact release date has yet to be announced. In support of the two albums, The 1975 will embark on "Music for Cars Tour" which will kick off on January 9, 2019 in Belfast, Northern Ireland and is scheduled to end on September 27 in Perth, Australia.
