Carol gets dragged into the legal trouble since Cahuenga Inc. has repeatedly tried yet failed to serve the 'Barbie Dreams' rapper with the papers stemming from alleged broken agreement.

AceShowbiz - Nicki Minaj's mother has been served with a $53,000 (£41,250) lawsuit alleging her daughter broke an agreement to host a Hollywood event.
According to court documents obtained by U.S. website The Blast, lawyers for Cahuenga Inc. want a judge to rule that serving Nicki's mum Carol with their legal claim counts as serving the hip-hop star.
Cahuenga executives claim they have repeatedly tried to serve the Anaconda hitmaker with the papers, but their agents have been unable to as she has been touring and protected by a security detail. Officials acting for the company visited a home the 35-year-old owns in New York last month, but were only able to serve notice to her mother.
Bosses at the firm claim to have "vigorously attempted to serve Defendant Minaj personally" but to have failed in their attempts. They state that a lawyer subsequently contacted them claiming Carol was not authorised to accept service. Under New York law, lawsuits maybe served to a responsible individual with a personal connection to the defendant - but only in circumstances where serving the individual concerned is impractical and all efforts to have been exhausted.
Cahuenga chiefs want the presiding judge to rule they have served Nicki by handing the papers to her mum - or to give them more time to find the elusive rapper.
The lawsuit relates to an agreement Cahuenga execs had with Nicki to host an event at Hollywood's Siren Studios during the 2011 National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star Weekend. They claim they paid the singer $53,000 (£41,250) to stay for an hour from midnight - but she turned up at 1.30 am and only stayed for half the agreed time, resulting in them losing out on profits.
They filed the legal claim in 2017 but it has been paused as they have been unable to serve notice on her. A previous complaint about the same matter failed back in 2014 for the same reason.
