In the sneak peek, Pratt's Emmet meets Rex Dangervest, also voiced by Pratt, who describes himself as a 'galaxy defending archeologist, cowboy and raptor trainer.'

AceShowbiz - Chris Pratt is back on another space mission, not as Peter Quill in "Guardians of the Galaxy", but as Emmet in "The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part". In a new trailer for the upcoming animated adventure movie, Emmet meets a new character named Rex Dangervest, who is also voiced by Pratt.

Rex's profession pretty much sums what Pratt has done in some of his blockbuster movies. Rex describes himself as "galaxy defending archeologist, cowboy and raptor trainer." One scene shows Emmet quickly bonding with Rex's dino buddy, tickling it like a tamed puppy.

Emmet's adventure to the place "where no brick has gone before" begins as Lucy (Elizabeth Banks) is kidnapped by alien LEGO figures. A brooding Lucy laments early in the video, "Once everything was awesome, now everything is bleak."

The video also teases the return of Unikitty (Alison Brie), Batman (Will Arnett), MetalBeard (Nick Offerman) and Superman (Channing Tatum). Tiffany Haddish joins the cast as Queen Watevra Wa-Nab, a shape-shifting alien queen, and Stephanie Beatriz voices General Sweet Mayhem.

The much-anticipated sequel to 2014's "The Lego Movie" is set five years after the first movie. The citizens are facing a huge new threat: LEGO DUPLO invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than they can rebuild.

The battle to defeat them and restore harmony to the LEGO universe will take Emmet, Lucy, Batman and their friends to faraway, unexplored worlds, including a strange galaxy where everything is a musical. It will test their courage, creativity and Master Building skills, and reveal just how special they really are.

Written by Phil Lord and Chris Miller who also provided the script for and helmed "The Lego Movie", the sequel is directed by Mike Mitchell. Charlie Day, Maya Rudolph, Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie and Arturo Castro also lend their voices for the comedy film, which is due out February 8, 2019 in the United States.
