During a candid conversation for 'Red Table Talk', the 'King of Queens' star admits that she was not being authentic with the 'Girls Trip' actress because of what was indoctrinated to her.

AceShowbiz - Leah Remini regrets trying to recruit Jada Pinkett Smith to join the controversial Scientology faith, because she wasn't an "authentic" friend.

The two actresses fell out last year after the "King of Queens" star, who famously quit the religion in 2013, claimed rumours suggesting Jada, who is married to Will Smith, was a secret follower of the church were true.

"I know Jada's in. She's been in Scientology a long time," she told The Daily Beast at the time. "I never saw Will there, but I saw Jada at the Celebrity Centre...".

Jada was forced to deny the allegations, insisting she had studied aspects of a number of faiths but was no Scientologist, and in a new episode of her "Red Table Talk" show, the "Girls Trip" star invited Leah to sit down for a chat and clear the air.

During the candid conversation, Leah admitted she had been wrong to use their friendship to try and benefit the church.

"Regardless of what was being presented to you, from me as a friend, you were seeing a side of me that wasn't 100 per cent authentic because my job was to always be a perfect person in front of you, or any celebrity, to solely get you into Scientology, fully indoctrinated, fully on board and deserting any other beliefs," she explained in a preview of the Facebook show, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Jada recently teased the "beautiful" interview, which debuts online on Monday, November 05.

"What was really emotional about it was realising that there was two broken little girls in us that were abandoned by their fathers and turned into fighters who clashed," she told People magazine.

Revealing it was Leah who contacted her to appear on the series, Jada added, "It was really beautiful and she reached out to me. She was much more bigger than me in that way. It was nice to reconnect and release ourselves from all that nonsense that doesn't matter."
