While a witness claims the 'Dip It Low' songstress ignited the altercation by throwing her drink at the bouncer, her representatives blame the bouncer for becoming aggressive.

AceShowbiz - Christina Milian has reportedly been involved in an altercation with a Los Angeles bar bouncer.

The "AM to PM" hitmaker and a group of female pals, including U.S. reality star Nicole Williams, descended on the city's Hotel Figueroa on Tuesday night, October 23, following a Bruno Mars concert.

Witnesses have told editors at TMZ that the group attempted to enter the bar near its lobby, but Christina was prevented from walking in because last orders had been called.

One onlooker claimed Christina threw a drink at the bouncer, who then tried to grab her, before two men intervened and police officers responded to the incident.

However, representatives for the 37-year-old singer have put forward a different version of events to the U.S. gossip website.

They deny she threw a drink and claim the hotel manager told the group they could go to the bar, but the bouncer became aggressive, prompting Nicole to enter the venue to find the manager.

Christina's team has alleged the bouncer struck one of her friends and followed them as they walked off to get a taxi after leaving the hotel without entering. They denied the men involved in the scrap with the bouncer had anything to do with the musician or her friends.

Law enforcement sources have confirmed to TMZ that Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to a call at the hotel, but did not reveal if a report had been filed.

A spokesperson for Hotel Figueroa commented that the alleged altercation was one that was "unfortunate" but "diffused by hotel staff and security to the very best of their ability".

Originally opened in the 1920s as a women's only hostelry, the Figueroa reopened earlier this year.
