Having been battling blood clots in both arms over the summer, the drummer for the rock band is sharing the good news that he has been cleared to perform by his doctors.

AceShowbiz - Drummer Travis Barker has been given the all-clear to resume his duties with Blink-182 after battling blood clots in both his arms over the summer.

The punk pop trio cancelled concerts and a planned Las Vegas residency when the rocker fell ill, and informed fans of his condition, explaining, "He cannot perform until cleared to do so by his medical team".

Barker added, "My life and health are my priority right now. I'll be back as soon as I can be."

The drummer began experiencing nerve damage and blood clots in the wake of an accident back in July, when a bus collided with his SUV.

He is reportedly suing the bus driver and his employers over the accident, as well as a Santa Monica, California medical centre, where he claims he developed a staph infection as a result of employees using a dirty needle while treating his injuries.

Doctors have now given Travis the OK to hit the road again.

"I'll be back at @Palms in Vegas with @blink182 this month. What songs don't you wanna hear," Travis wrote on Twitter this week.
