AceShowbiz - There are so many new things offered in the current season 11 of BBC's "Doctor Who". In addition of new Doctor and a whole new set of companions, the new season will bring fans brand new monsters.

During the show's panel at New York Comic-Con, showrunner Chris Chibnall and executive producer Matt Strevens hinted at the arrival of a slew of newly-created baddies. Yes, not only one, the eleventh season seemingly will see quite a few of new villains to make up the absence of returning classic creatures.

"For the generation of viewers who are going to hopefully come on board now, we want it to feel like these are their monsters," Chibnall told the crowd. "The ones they can own, whether they're a kid, or a first-time viewer of 28 or 98."

"I think some of the biggest fun is seeing how they land with the audience," Strevens added. "I'm thrilled to see what happens, and who takes what monsters to their heart, and how they react – that's so great to watch."

"We're being really cagey about spoilers because the story of 'Doctor Who' and the story of the episodes is always 'who are the monsters? What do they want? What’s their plan?' If I tell you now, I'll ruin episode five for you, and I don't want to do that!” Chibnall teased.

Chibnall promised that bringing new creatures to the new season will further add the fun. "We just wanted a real variety. They're surprising, they're fun, some are creepy, some are scary, some are odd, so it's going to be a bit of showcasing what Doctor Who can do," he said.

It makes sense that season 11 will feature a lot of new villains since it is made up of 10 standalone episodes. However, it remains to be seen how many new villains that the 13th rencarnation of Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) will be facing against.
