AceShowbiz - The CW has revealed the first look at Ruby Rose as Batwoman in its upcoming Arrowverse crossover. Titled "Elseworlds", the crossover will see Rose's character joining in Arrow, Supergirl and The Flash as well as other major guest stars.

Coming from "The Meg" actress' Instagram account, the photo feature Rose suiting up as the lesbian superheroine. Designed by four-time Oscar winner Colleen Atwood, whose credits include the spandex creations for "Arrow", "The Flash" and "Supergirl", the suit looks like straight from the comics.

Ruby's Batwoman sports scarlet wavy hair, pale white skin and bright red lipstick that matches her killer costume. Fans are seemingly satisfied with the costume and hoping that the satisfaction remains after seeing the character in motion.

"First look Crossover event. December 9 at 8pm ET," the actress captions the snap. Fans later flood her with praises. "RUBY IMA CRY IM SO PROUD OF U OMGGGGG," an excited fan writes in the comment section, while some others are dubbing the costume "awesome."

Following the upcoming DC crossover TV event, Batwoman is set to embark on her own journey in a stand-alone series. Currently in development with Caroline Dries ("The Vampire Diaries") attached as the writer, "Batwoman" will center on Kate Kane, who, armed with a passion for social justice and flair for speaking her mind, soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city's criminal resurgence. But don't call her a hero yet -- in a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham's symbol of hope.

The decision to cast out actress Rose as the character sparked controversy among fans that eventually led her to quit social media. Greg Berlanti jumped in her defense, saying, "[Ruby] is terrific in the role, and we're excited for people to see the story."

In the "Elseworlds", Rose will be joined by Jeremy Davie, Cassandra Jean Amell Elizabeth Tulloch and LaMonica Garrett. Davie is set to portray a doctor at Arkham Asylum named Dr. John Deegan, while Amell will portray Nora Fries, the wife of Victor Fries a.k.a. Batman villain Mister Freeze. Tulloch will portray Lois Lane with Garret taking on the role of The Monitor.

This year's crossover is set to begin on Sunday, December 9 with "The Flash" at 8 P.M. It will later be followed by an "Arrow" episode on Monday, December 10 at 8 P.M. "Supergirl" will conclude on the following night at 8 P.M. on The CW.
