The 'I Love It' rapper takes to Twitter to announce the good news, sharing a picture of a plate of the food.

AceShowbiz - Amid the massive backlash that he has been receiving, Kanye West has one thing to celebrate. His father, Ray West, recently beat his battle against prostate cancer. Commemorating the end of his battle with the illness, the father-and-son duo ate a plate full of bugs in Detroit on Tuesday, October 2.
Kanye took to his Twitter account to announce the good news, sharing a picture of the little crickets. "Overcome fear," he wrote along with the image. "My dad and I are going to eat this plate of full bugs to celebrate him beating cancer. No more fear."

The picture was taken after he stopped by One Campus Martius to visit Quicken Loans founder and chairman Dan Gilbert as well as StockX CEO Josh Luber. It's unclear if the two men joined them for the meal.
Ray was diagnosed with prostate cancer back in July. Thankfully, it was revealed that it was in the early stages and he was getting treatment in Los Angeles. Kanye himself never talked about it until that day because it was "something that's very difficult for him," according to a source. "When his mom suddenly passed away, Kanye was all alone. Having Kim [Kim Kardashian] and the kids around him helps in difficult situations," the insider continued at the time.
His mother, Donda West, died in 2007 following cosmetic surgery complications. She was 58. According to the autopsy report, Donda experienced a sore throat, pain and tightening in her chest shortly after the surgery. She collapsed after that. Donda was eventually rushed to hospital, but was pronounced dead in the hospital's emergency room.
Kanye previously wanted to use a picture of Jan Adams, a plastic surgeon who performed her final surgery, as the cover art of his latest album "Ye" since he wanted to "forgive and stop hating." However, the rapper eventually used a photograph he took on the way to Wyoming as the cover art.
