Battling the same disease late Robin Williams fought before his tragic death, the CNN founder is grateful that his illness is not as bad as Alzheimer.

AceShowbiz - Media mogul Ted Turner is battling Lewy body dementia.

The CNN founder, 79, has revealed to U.S. news show CBS Sunday Morning he has been diagnosed with the disease actor Robin Williams fought before his suicide in 2014.

"It's a mild case of what people have as Alzheimer's," he says. "It's similar to that. But not nearly as bad. Alzheimer's is fatal. Thank goodness I don't have that."

Turner, who was married to actress Jane Fonda from 1991 to 2001, also reveals his dementia has left him "tired and exhausted."

"That's the main symptoms, and forgetfulness," he adds.
