AceShowbiz - Demi Lovato has been spotted for the first time since her apparent drug overdose two months ago. The former Disney darling was photographed going out for a walk near her rehab facility on Sunday morning, September 23.

In a photo obtained by TMZ, Demi kept things lowkey as she stepped out in an olive green jacket, a pair of black leggings and white sneakers. She covered her head with a black cap while holding a cup of coffee in her hand. The "Sober" singer was seen happily chatting with a woman who was walking her dog.

Judging from her outward appearance, it looks Demi is doing great in her recovery. "Demi has lost some weight and she's feeling better," a source tells Us Weekly. "She's repositioning herself again and getting her life back on track and retraining herself on the 12 steps to recovery. She is doing much better and eventually she will come back to L.A."

Demi has been staying in an unknown rehab facility after she was hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for a drug overdose. Her mother, Dianna de la Garza, recently opened up about her overdose for the first time. Speaking with Newsmax TV on Tuesday, September 18, the 56-year-old author recalled the terrifying moment she learned of her daughter's overdose.

"I didn't know what to say," she recounted when she got a phone call from Demi's assistant. "It was something I never, ever expected to hear as a parent about any of my kids. I said, 'Is she OK?' And she stopped for a second and she said, 'She's conscious, but she's not talking.' I knew at that point we were in trouble."

Dianna and her daughters Dallas and Madison rushed to hospital where Demi remained in a "critical condition" for two days. During that time, Dianna was unsure whether her daughter "was going to make it or not." She said, "I just feel like the reason she's alive today is because of the millions of prayers that went up that day."
