AceShowbiz - Rapper Lil Wayne will be honoured with the I Am Hip Hop Award next month.
The "Lollipop" hitmaker will be feted for his career at the 2018 BET Hip-Hop Awards at the Jackie Gleason Theater in Florida on October 6.
Lil Wayne is also up for the Best Mixtape accolade for Dedication 6: Reloaded.
It's a good time for the rapper, who is also celebrating the ending of his lengthy feud with his mentor Bryan 'Birdman' Williams.
The hip-hop stars fell out in 2015 when Wayne filed a $51 million (£38.8 million) lawsuit against Bryan, his Cash Money Records label, and parent firm Universal Music Group over money he was allegedly owed for his long-delayed album "Tha Carter V". In May, Lil Wayne's attorney filed a legal notice stating that all sides were prepared to dismiss the lawsuit because it was settled.
And last month, the hip hop stars took their reconciliation another step forward when Wayne invited Williams onstage at his Lil WeezyAna Fest in New Orleans, where Birdman apologized.
