AceShowbiz - "Saturday Night Live" season 44 has tapped "BlacKKKlansman" actor Adam Driver to host the season opener. The star, who is set to reprise his role as Kylo Ren in "Star Wars: Episode IX", will lead off the premiere episode alongside Kanye West, who is set to provide the music.

It will mark the second time for Adam to host the show, while it will be Kanye's seventh times since 2005. The hosting gig arrives after he starred in "BlacKkKlansman", in which he played a Jewish cop who posed as a white supremacist that his black partner had invented to infiltrate a Colorado Springs chapter of the KKK. The three-time past Emmy nominee also appeared in Terry Gilliam's "The Man Who Killed Don Quixote" as Toby. His credits also include Lena Dunham's "Girls" from which he earned Emmys' nominations.
Kanye's "Saturday Night Live" gig comes in the wake of his eighth studio full-length "Ye". Released on June 1, the album nabbed the first spot on the Billboard chart. Additionally, "Ye" has been certified gold.
