Taking to Instagram, Luke announces that he will be heading home for the upcoming 'Heart of South Georgia' joint concert which will also feature Phillip Phillips among others.

AceShowbiz - Country stars Luke Bryan, Cole Swindell, and Phillip Phillips are joining forces to raise cash for those affected by the 2017 Albany tornado, which tore through five of the counties in the trio's home state Georgia.

Luke and Cole's ties to the state run deep - they were both members of Georgia Southern University's Sigma Chi fraternity and met when Bryan returned to headline a party while Swindell was a student there.

The Peach Pickers, featuring Bryan's college roommate and Albany native Dallas Davidson, will also perform.

The Heart of South Georgia benefit will take place in Albany on 3 October, and announcing the gig in a press release, Luke says, "My hometown is more than a place for me. It is a way of life. Growing up in south Georgia has had such an impact on me in so many ways and I'm so glad that this group of amazing artists and writers are able to come back home and help those who have been hit by such devastation over the past couple of years."
