The son of Farrah Fawcet and Ryan O'Neal reportedly hurls homophobic slurs in a Los Angeles street.

AceShowbiz - The troubled son of Farrah Fawcet and Ryan O'Neal is facing another lawsuit from a man he allegedly attacked after reportedly hurling homophobic slurs.

Ken Fox claims he was singing opera as he walked down a Los Angeles street on May 2 when he crossed paths with Redmond O'Neal.

According to court papers obtained by The Blast, Redmond didn't appreciate Fox glancing at him and spat, "What are you looking at, f**got?"

O'Neal is then accused of lunging at Fox, hitting him in the head with a bottle-like object and breaking his nose as he fell to the ground, while purportedly continuing the beating as he spewed other expletives at the man.

Redmond is said to have fled the scene, but was arrested days later on suspicion of carrying out a string of similar attacks.

Now Fox has slapped the 33-year-old actor with a lawsuit seeking damages in excess of $25,000 (£19,300).

In a statement, the alleged victim shared, "I have spent the last four months recovering from what Redmond O'Neal did to me.

"I am speaking out today because I need to do what I can to make sure that this man never injures or hurts another defenseless 'f**got' ever again. That's what Mr. O'Neal called me right before he sucker punched me. The word f**got is hate speech and just one of many offensive terms used to make gay men feel ashamed of themselves."

Fox has hired top attorney Gloria Allred to fight his case, and she has called for Redmond to face "serious consequences" as a result of his alleged actions, which already prompted another man to file suit against O'Neal in June.

O'Neal stands accused of seriously injuring a total of five people and is facing charges of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, brandishing a knife, battery, and criminal threats.

He remains behind bars awaiting trial.
