The Curb Your Enthusiasm star lodged legal papers on Tuesday, September 04, citing irreconcilable differences, according to The Blast.
Garlin, who shares two adult sons with his estranged wife Marla, lists the date of separation as 25 July, 2017 - a day after the former couple's 23rd wedding anniversary.
The actor is reportedly willing to pay Marla spousal support but he is refusing to cover her legal fees.
