The president of the United States takes to Twitter to seemingly show the senator's daughter that her diss doesn't affect his political view.

AceShowbiz - Donald Trump won't let Meghan McCain have the last word after the latter dissed him at Senator John McCain's funeral in Washington, D.C. on September 1. During her emotional eulogy at the service, "The View" co-host threw shade at the president of the United States and the latter fired back on his Twitter account on the same day.

"We gather here to mourn the passing of American greatness," she said at the podium while holding back tears. "The real thing, not cheap rhetoric from men who will never come near the sacrifice he gave so willingly, nor the opportunistic appropriation of those who live lives of comfort and privilege while he suffered and served."

"The America of John McCain is generous and welcoming, the America of John McCain has no need to be made great again, because America is always great," the senator's daughter continued, referring to Trump's famous quote. The audience gave Meghan, who donned a black long-sleeved dress and a matching headband, a round of applause as she stopped talking.

In response to her eulogy, Trump, who wasn't invited to the funeral as John made it known before his death, wrote on his personal account afterward, "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

Other Twitter users jumped to the reply section, criticizing Trump's response to Meghan's diss instead. "I feel sorry for you Mr. President. You don't know of the power of connection with others. The power you portray is a sad one indeed. True power has kindness and compassion as its guide. It's not too late to let go of your fierce anger and join the 'humane' race. Open your heart," one user wrote.

"Meghan is right! America has always been great. It will be better when you're out of office," an individual emphasized Meghan's words. "You petty and small person. Is this your response to a grieving Meghan McCain. America is and has always been great. Not always perfect, but great. When for you was it not great? I am concerned that you will make it less great with tweets like this," another one added.

Back in 2015, Trump mocked John for being a former prisoner of war in Vietnam. "He's not a war hero," the former TV personality stated at a Republican presidential forum in Iowa. "He's a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured."
