The Drax depicter says 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3' is now put 'on hold indefinitely' and he's not sure if he wants to work for Disney again.

AceShowbiz - Disney's decision to fire James Gunn could cost the "Guardians of the Galaxy" franchise one of its cast members. Dave Bautista, who has been very vocal about his support for the director, recently hinted that he might not return for the upcoming third installment.

Appearing on "The Jonathan Ross Show", the former wrestler-turned-actor gave update on "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" following Gunn firing. "There's a bit of an issue. It's a bittersweet conversation," he said, before correcting himself, "No - it's a bitter, bitter conversation, because I'm not really happy with what they've done with James Gunn."

He added, "They're putting the movie off. It's on hold indefinitely. To be honest with you, I don't know if I want to work for Disney... I've been very vocal about the way I feel. I'm not afraid to admit the way I feel."

Disney fired Gunn as the director of "GOTG Vol. 3" after his old jokes between 2008 and 2011, in which he made light of rape and pedophilia, were unearthed by alt-right conspiracy theorist Mike Cernovich.

The cast, including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Bautista, Vin Diesel and their co-stars, later signed an open letter declaring their loyalty to the director. Despite the cast's plea, Disney refused to reinstate Gunn.

Bautista then reacted by posting a sarcastic tweet which read, "Thanks @Disney !! Making America great again! [American flag emoji]," along with a link to a news article which headline read, "Disney Not Rehiring James Gunn is a Big Mistake for Marvel (And Beyond)."

He previously threatened to quit "GOTG 3" if Disney scraps the script written by Gunn. "Where I'm at right now is that if (Disney/Marvel) don't use that script, then I'm going to ask them to release me from my contract, cut me out or recast me," he told Shortlist. "I'd be doing James a disservice if I didn't".

He also said that he would do the third "GOTG" movie only because he's "legally obligated to do, but @Guardians without @JamesGunn is not what I signed up for (sic)." He stated that it's "also pretty nauseating to work for someone who'd empower a smear campaign by fascists #cybernazis."
