AceShowbiz - After Kendrick Lamar, another rapper has contributed a song to a Marvel movie soundtrack. Taking to social media on August 30, Eminem announced that he would be releasing a new song which would be featured on the soundtrack to "Venom (2018)". Additionally, the Detroit rapper gave fans a snippet of the song.

In the 15-second video, Em could be heard rapping, "Venom! Knock knock let the devil in," as the film's title sequence was shown on the screen. The "E" eventually morphed into a bright version of Marshall Mathers' signature backwards letter.

Aside from the snippet, the title of the song and its release date remain unknown. It is also yet to be seen whether the "Rap God" hitmaker will only contribute one song or possibly offer multiple songs for the upcoming movie. Em did not reveal anything in the caption of the post, only tagging "Venom" official account.

The "Venom" soundtrack will be Em's first solo release since unveiling his album "Revival" in December 2017. He was recently featured on Nicki Minaj's "Majesty" off her new album "Queen", which hit the stores earlier this month.

Centering on the Spider-Man villain, "Venom" follows Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) who is investigating the mysterious Life Foundation. Its leader, Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed), has been testing the interaction of symbiotes on humans to create a higher being. When Eddie becomes infected with one of these alien creatures, he transforms in the anti-hero Venom.

Besides Hardy and Ahmed, the upcoming movie stars Michelle Williams as Ann Weying, Eddie's ex-wife, with Jenny Slate, Woody Harrelson, Reid Scott and Scott Haze taking other roles. Ruben Fleischer serves behind the lens, while Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner provide the script. It is slated to hit theaters across the nation on October 5.
