Tip was accused of angrily arguing with security official Euwan James after he was refused entry into the Eagles Landing Country Club.

AceShowbiz - Rapper T.I. has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanour charges relating to an altercation with a security guard outside his gated community in Georgia.

The Whatever You Like hitmaker, real name Clifford Harris, Jr., was taken into custody back in May, after he was refused entry into the Eagles Landing Country Club, where he owns a home.

T.I., who had forgotten his keys, was accused of angrily arguing with security official Euwan James, who reported the star to police, leading to his booking for simple assault, public drunkenness, and disorderly conduct.

His attorney was quick to blast the allegations as "baseless, ill-founded and unjustified", and now T.I. has pleaded his innocence in the case.

According to court papers obtained by The Blast, he is seeking to have the charges dismissed, arguing he posed no "true threat" to the guard to warrant prosecution.

If the judge declines to grant his motion, he has requested a jury trial.

A hearing on the matter has been set for November.
