According to a source, the 'Riverdale' star realized that she wasn't ready with the relationship and Victor was heartbroken.

AceShowbiz - Camila Mendes has reportedly split from boyfriend Victor Houston. According to an anonymous source, the "Riverdale" actress ended her romance with Victor after San Diego Comic-Con 2018, leaving the latter heartbroken.
"Camila ended things with Victor after Comic-Con, when she realized she wasn't ready to be in this relationship anymore," the source told E! News. "Victor was completely blindsided and is very heartbroken."
As if being heartbroken was not enough, the source also revealed that Victor received a lot of backlash from "Riverdale" fans. "He has been receiving a lot of backlash from the 'Riverdale' community. Even though it was actually Camila's choice to end the relationship," added the insider.
Camila and Victor have unfollowed each other on Instagram and they have deleted their photos together. However, the 24-year-old actress still kept a picture of herself with Victor kissing her cheek at a party. They were not alone in the photo though, as Camila's friend was also seen kissing her other cheek on the left side. "Call me archie andrews," she captioned it.
Camilia and Victor were high school friends in Florida. The pair then met again in New York City before they started dating in July. Afterward, Camilia opened up about her relationship with Victor in an interview with Nylon.
"It's somebody completely out of the industry. It's funny because I'm more hesitant to talk about it because I don't want him to read this," the Victoria Lodge depicter said of her non-actor beau at the time. "I actually would totally talk about it right now, if I didn't feel like, 'Wait, he might read this.' "
"Dating people in the industry is tough. I did for a little bit. I've just dated actors. It's hard when that's your world," she explained, before continuing, "You only meet people through work and that can be really tough, because you're not necessarily meeting people that you're similar to, It's just people that you're with because you're working on the same project. I've learned to not do that."
