The second case against the embattled Oscar winner has been handed to officials on a special task force, who are actively investigating the new claims.
"It remains under review," the D.A. confirms.
The first case against the disgraced House of Cards star, which was presented in April by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s department, reportedly involved an incident with a male adult from October, 1992.
That case also remains under review.
Spacey was fired as the star of Netflix drama House of Cards last year (17) after multiple allegations of misconduct and harassment were levelled against the actor.
The scandal was sparked by claims made by actor Anthony Rapp, who alleged Spacey pounced on him in the bedroom of his hotel suite when Rapp was an underage teenager.
Spacey's career has been rocked by the scandal - his latest movie, Billionaire Boys Club, fell flat with audiences in the U.S., making just $126 (£99) on opening day.
The film was only picked up for screening in 10 theatres nationwide, but the majority of movie-goers shunned the crime drama upon its launch on Friday, August 17, making it a career low for the embattled actor.
According to The Wrap, box office earnings remained abysmal on Saturday, as its two-day total reached just $287 (£225). Based on the national ticket price average of $9.27 (£7.27), the figures suggest only 31 people paid to check out the real-life crime drama.
Billionaire Boys Club, which also stars Spacey's Baby Driver co-star Ansel Elgort, Taron Egerton, Emma Roberts, and Suki Waterhouse, was shot in 2015, two years before Spacey's career was derailed by the allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour.
Spacey has kept a low profile since the accusations hit headlines almost 10 months ago. Dozens of other alleged victims have since come forward with similar claims of sexual misconduct against Spacey, leading police in London to open investigations into a number of formal complaints, with three more added to the case load last month.
