AceShowbiz - She's stepping out of the shadows. FX has released a new teaser of "American Horror Story: Apocalypse" which offers the first look of one of Sarah Paulson's three different characters in the new season of the anthology series.

The Emmy winner is set to play her "Coven" character Cordelia Goode, Billie Dean Howard and a new face named Venable. The new 27-second footage seemingly introduces the latter as Paulson has portrayed Billie Dean in more than one season.

The video sees the actress donning a black dress with matching belt that has a gold belt buckle. She also wears black and half leather gloves. Sporting a gothic makeup, she appears out of the shadows and approaches what looks like a lottery machine.

"Now is your chance to be one of the few remaining, this is your chance to survive," her character says. "We'll find you soon."

Judging by the brief teaser, it seems like Venable is a character who is in charge of controlling a lottery for those who'd like to live past the end of days.

The eighth season of the FX hit anthology series, which is a crossover between season 1 "Murder House" and season 3 "Coven", will see the return of Jessica Lange, who was last seen in season 4 "Freak Show". Jessica will reprise her role as Constance Langdon from "Murder House" in the upcoming season.

"Apocalypse" will also star Evan Peters, Cody Fern, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Cheyenne Jackson, Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Adina Porter, Leslie Grossman and Joan Collins. Cody plays the grown-up version of Michael Langdon, Collins is portraying the grandmother of Evan's hairdresser character with Kathy portraying Miss Meade.

Leslie is cast as Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt while Adina plays Dinah Stevens. As for Emma, she will once again play her "Coven" character Madison Montgomery.

"American Horror Story: Apocalypse" premieres on September 12 on FX.
