AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande treated 1,000 fans to an intimate concert following the MTV Video Music Awards on Monday, August 20.
The pop star hit the stage at the prizegiving to perform her new song God Is a Woman and then headed over to Irving Plaza in New York for a show as part of her Sweetener Sessions. The first of three shows marked her live debut of the album. She will also host concerts in Chicago and Los Angeles, according to Billboard.
Grande's fiance Pete Davidson, model Karlie Kloss, her brother Frankie, mum and grandmother watched as the singer performed in a relaxed setting, with no setlist.
"Do you wanna know why I'm so excited?" she said to the crowd. "We have no plans at all. We just know the music, and want to hang out."
But the headliner lost her cool when she learned Madonna was in the crowd.
"Oh, my God, where is she," Grande said. "You guys, Madonna is here. Hi, Madonna. Guys, I'm going to pass out."
