Enraged Russian model Daria Strokous blasts Kendall, saying that 'whatever the f**k those girls do' is 'their very best to make some money so that they can provide for themselves and their families.'

AceShowbiz - Kendall Jenner has sparked backlash after speaking about her "super selective" approach to modelling.

The supermodel was photographed for Love magazine's 10th anniversary edition, but caused anger amongst her peers after the publication shared a photograph from the shoot accompanied by a quote from Kendall's interview.

Alongside a black and white image of the star, who poses topless with a retro bouffant hairstyle and an array of pearl necklaces, the interview snippet reads: "Since the beginning we've been super selective about what shows I would do. I was never one of those girls who would do like 30 shows a season or whatever the f**k those girls do. More power to 'em."

The 22-year-old's comments outraged Russian model Daria Strokous, who shared a screenshot of the post and gave Kendall a piece of her mind.

"...whatever the f**k those girls do' is do their very best to make their way up AND try to make some money so that they can provide for themselves and their families," she wrote, adding: "Oh, and it's 70 shows a season by the way and we are all f**king proud of every single one of the girls that did it."

Daria, who acted as a muse for Raf Simons when he was creative director at Dior, was backed by transgender fashion star Teddy Quinlivan.

"As models we need to uplift each other. We all work extremely hard to pursue our dreams even the 'girls who walk 30 shows a season or whatever the f**k those girls do,'" she wrote in her Instagram story.

The 24-year-old also appeared to make a dig at Kendall's prestigious upbringing, saying: "Models don't just come from Calabasas (city in Los Angeles County)... they come from Somalia, the Siberian tundra, a rural village in China, a trailer park in Tennessee."

One of Kendall's representatives has since told HollywoodLife that the quote was "taken out of context".
