The 'XXX' actress allegedly settled sexual assault claim with actor and musician Jimmy Bennett in 2017.

AceShowbiz - Asia Argento reportedly paid $380,000 to actor and musician Jimmy Bennett who accused her of sexual misconduct. The claim came a month after the "XXX" star accused disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment in October 2017.

In a document obtained by The New York Times, Bennett was considered underage when the alleged assault happened on May 10, 2013 as he was only 17, while Argento was 37. The legal age of sexual consent in California is 18.

According to the document, the two met at the Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey with Bennett's family member before the "Marie Antoinette" actress asked for sometime alone with the actor. The mother of two then gave him alcohol and kissed him. Afterward, she gave him an oral sex before they had a sexual intercourse.

It was also mentioned in the document that the sexual encounter with Argento was so traumatic for Bennett that it affected his mental health, career and income. It reportedly left him feeling "extremely confused, mortified, and disgusted." With the help of lawyer Gordon K. Sattro, the "Poseidon" star then sued the Italian actress and director for $3.5 million in damages for the intentional infliction of emotional distress, lost wages, assault and battery.

Argento then had to pay $380,000 to Bennett in November 2017 as a part of the agreement. In exchange, the former child actor had to give a picture of him and the actress in bed along with its copyright to Argento.

Both Argento and Bennett, who once played mother and son respectively in "The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things", have yet to release any statement regarding the report. The "Evan Almighty" actor's lawyer stated that his client would not agree to participate in any interview. "In the coming days," Sattro said in an email, "Jimmy will continue doing what he has been doing over the past months and years, focusing on his music."
