AceShowbiz - There was something strange with Kanye West when he and wife Kim Kardashian stepped out to attend 2 Chainz and Kesha Ward's extravagant wedding on Saturday, August 18. The hip-hop mogul was photographed wearing tiny Yeezy slides during the nuptials, which took place in Miami. Although the hip-hop mogul confidently walked in his slippers, fans didn't think they were an appropriate footwear for a wedding ceremony.
Kanye was seen in his soft green Louis Vuitton suit, socks and a pair of gray slides. His feet clearly didn't fit in the slippers, but the GOOD Music founder didn't seem to feel uncomfortable at all as he made his way to Versace Mansion with the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star. Meanwhile, Kim opted to wear a neon green figure-hugging dress with a thigh slit, dark sunglasses and a pair of strappy heels.
After pictures from the wedding ceremony began circulating online, fans criticized Kanye for choosing slippers over shoes. "Kanye wearing North's shoes. #2small," one fan joked. "What's up with ur man's shoes?" another fan asked Kim. "Kanye, put some damn shoes on," a fan said.
"Fashion icons don't wear neon green or slipper to a wedding. Do better, you two thirsty people," a person wrote. "Kanye looks like he just got out the hospital and forgot to change his slippers," added another one.
While fans were busy criticizing him, Kanye and Kim appeared to be having fun with Lil Wayne during the ceremony. The reality TV star took to Snapchat to share a video of her husband joking with his fellow rapper. "A video?" Kim could be heard saying in the footage, before laughing along with Kanye and Wayne.
Besides Kanye, Kim and Wayne, other celebrities who were spotted attending the nuptials included Gucci Mane, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz.
