AceShowbiz - British singer John Newman reportedly wed his girlfriend in an intimate ceremony on Saturday, August 18.

The 28-year-old posted an Instagram Story on Saturday showing him wearing a wedding suit, surrounded by confetti, while stood next to a vintage car with wedding flowers and ribbons adorning it, appearing to confirm reports published ahead of his big day.

Editors at The Sun newspaper reported on Friday that John was due to exchange vows with Danish fiancee Nana at a registry office in North London on Saturday.

Singer Jess Glynne and DJ Sigala were reported to be among the guests who headed to John's home in Kent, England for a huge bash to celebrate the nuptials. Former collaborator Calvin Harris was expected to be in attendance, but was performing a DJ set in Las Vegas instead.

The Love Me Again hitmaker proposed to air hostess Nana in July last year (17), after getting the all-clear from his health woes.

John revealed he was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2012, but after it was operated on and removed, it sadly returned in 2016, and medics found cancerous cells on it.

However, he has since been given the all-clear by doctors, and is awaiting an operation to remove the tumour.
