The 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star filed for a temporary restraining order against her husband after an alleged incident at her home over the weekend.

AceShowbiz - Danielle Staub and Marty Caffrey are now seemingly further from reconciliation. A week after it was reported that there were troubles in their marriage, the reality TV star has filed for a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband after an incident at her home over the weekend.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, when Danielle arrived at her home on Sunday, August 12, Marty had "disabled the garage door so it wouldn't work when she pulled up." After she got one of the other entrances open, she "found her husband standing in her garage." The document read, "He appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, agitated and confrontational."

She went straight to her room to avoid confrontation, but later heard "a disturbing noise" and "realized that several of her family portraits of her children ... had been taken down causing her to be upset." Marty called the police as Danielle went through the house to search for the photos.

But when officers arrived, Danielle was the one to get the order as she "believes that [Marty] is attempting to tarnish her reputation and career by making repeated false reports to the media." Marty was given "20 minutes to leave the house." The restraining order also cited a complaint of "non-reported verbal abuse."

A source also says that Marty "took a bunch of Danielle's belongings and hid them in his car," which police found after they were called by the 56-year-old star. Another source tells PEOPLE that Marty's "been harassing her the last few weeks."

Sharing his own account of the story, Marty claimed he called police because she threatened him. "On Sunday, I had to call the police because of an outburst and threats she made after she came home from dinner looking disheveled, drunk or high," he alleged.

Marty continued, "She reached for an iron and a stapler as if to throw them at me. It turns out that after I went to sleep in another room, she went to the police department in Englewood, New Jersey and got a restraining order because I removed some pictures of her children from a location where all of my children pictures were removed earlier in the evening."

The temporary restraining order is valid until the couple's next court date, which is scheduled for August 20.

Marty previously said in a now-deleted tweet, "Sorry things didn't work out baby. You aren't what you pretended to be. Sad." A rep for "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star later confirmed, "Danielle is having some difficulties with her marriage right now and is hoping everything will work out," but didn't say if they're divorcing.

The two said "I do" in May this year after dating for two years. He proposed to her in May 2017. Danielle was previously married to former FBI informant Kevin Maher from 1986 to 1987 and to businessman Thomas N. Staub from 1993 to 2007. She has two daughters with her latter ex, Christine and Jillian.
