According to a source, the songstress is also 'really focusing on herself' and 'hasn't been in communication with anyone.'

AceShowbiz - It's been a week since Demi Lovato entered rehabilitation following her hospitalization for an apparent overdose. Rumor has it, the former Disney darling won't be leaving the facility any time soon as she plans to stay for several months in order to get better.

"She will be in rehab for several months and is doing an extensive program to ensure she gets the help she needs," a source tells E! News, adding that the "Cool for the Summer" singer "hasn't been in communication with anyone and is really focusing on herself."

Even Wilmer Valderrama, who visited her more than once when she was in hospital, hasn't talked to her. However, the "Grey's Anatomy" actor "has been in touch with the family and has been checking in on Demi's status." The source adds, "The family is trying to make sure they eliminate all distractions and want her to be focusing on her health right now."

And thanks to that, Demi is reportedly "doing much better" both mentally and physically. According to the source, the singer "has become more open and is happy she is getting the help she needs," especially after trying to "grasp the severity of what happened and that she almost died." The source continues, "She hopes to make a full recovery and be able to do one thing that she loves: music."

Earlier this month, Demi broke her silence on her overdose when she shared a message to her social media followers. "I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction," she wrote. "What I've learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet."

She also thanked her fans and those close to her for their continuous support. "The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I come out on the other side," she added, before concluding her post, "I will keep fighting."
