AceShowbiz - The first look at Netflix's "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" has found its way out online. The photos, which are released through official Twitter account of Netflix, give the first look at star Kiernan Shipka, who takes the role of the titular teenage witch.

The first photo sees Kiernan's Sabrina Spellman in what looks like a forest. Surrounded by black-dressed women, Sabrina is seen wearing a nightgown while kneeling in the woods. According to the official description, the photo depicts "the dark baptism of Sabrina" with Father Blackwood (Richard Coyle).

Also featured in the photo are Lucy Davis as Hilda Spellman, Mirando Otto as Zelda Spellman, and Abigail Cowan, Adeline Rudolph and Tati Gabrielle as The Weird Sisters.

The other photo features Sabrina in her red coat. She has a red bag on her shoulder, with her hands holding a broom and a bell in each. One thing that's left: her cat Salem.

"Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" is set to be a much darker, more intense take on the source material. It follows Sabrina as she navigates her life as a young witch. The series is depicted as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult and, of course, witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of "Rosemary's Baby" and "The Exorcist", this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature--half-witch, half-mortal--while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.

The cast also includes Ross Lynch, Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Michelle Gomez and Bronson Pinchot. "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" is set to premiere on the Friday before Halloween, October 26 on Netflix.
