The former "Glee" actor and British popstar will be joined by 'Strictly Come Dancing' professional Oti Mabuse on the panel of 'Dance Captains'.

AceShowbiz - Matthew Morrison and Cheryl have been confirmed for the judging panel of Simon Cowell's latest reality show "The Greatest Dancer".
The former "Glee" actor and British popstar will be joined by "Strictly Come Dancing" professional Oti Mabuse on the panel of "Dance Captains", who will critique contestants performing across all genres of dance hoping to be crowned the U.K.'s Greatest Dancer.
"This is such a powerful moment for me. It's wonderful to continue bringing music and dance into peoples' lives like we did on 'Glee'," the American actor said in a statement. "Dance is a safe haven that allows us to communicate where words cannot. It's an expression of love and empowerment, driven by all the emotions that make us human.
"I love being exposed to people who are pursuing art, and expression, and I look forward to being a moving force for good on their journey. As a Dance Captain, my sincere hope is that I can uplift and encourage all the dancers here reach their greatness."
Cheryl, who was previously a judge on Britain's "The X Factor", confirmed she was making her TV comeback by filming a video for her Instagram Stories backstage at the auditions, which are taking place in Birmingham, England on Friday, August 10.
"I'm so excited to be part of The Greatest Dancer!" her statement read. "I'm looking for acts with real passion, who are going to push boundaries and give it their all, no matter what challenges are thrown at them. From my own dance background, I know the dedication and commitment dancing takes, I can't wait to get started."
The trio had been heavily rumoured for the job, as they had been spotted filming the pilot for the show earlier this year. They will be joined by hosts, British singer Alesha Dixon, who works with Simon on Britain's Got Talent (BGT), and Jordan Banjo, known for dance group Diversity, which won BGT in 2009.
The competition marks the first time Simon has teamed up with the BBC, home of "Strictly Come Dancing", after a long-running partnership with rival ITV. The show is set to air in the U.K. on Saturday nights later this year.
