When asked about whether the 'Roseanne' spin-off will feature a funeral episode for Roseanne, ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey refuses to give an exact answer.

AceShowbiz - Roseanne Barr's character Roseanne Conner may not be featured on the upcoming "Roseanne" spin-off "The Conners", but her fate will have to be addressed at one point. That leads to many speculation on how the writers will do about the matriarch of the clan. ABC Entertaiment President Channing Dungey offers a hint at the matter in her new internew.

Dungey suggests that killing off the character is one of the options being considered. "We obviously had to come with an answer because we have to make the episodes and the characters have to have a point of view," she said. "We've discussed all different versions about what we might do with the character."

When asked about whether the spin-off would feature a funeral episode for Roseanne, Dungey refused to give an exact answer. Instead, she teased, "You're going to have to tune in on October 16."

Of the upcoming "The Conners", she shared that the spin-off would still bring the themes that is similar to what "Roseanne" revival had. "We're still going to be exploring a lot of the same themes that we set up in the episodes we did last season," Dungey said.

"We're still going to still see Dan Conner struggling to find work and making ends meet. You're going to see Darlene struggling with what it means to be a single mother. You're going to see the challenges they face in this world with very limited resources," she added.

Dungey also talked about her risky decision to cancel No. 1 show on her show following Barr's controversial tweets about former Barack Obama advisor Valerie Jarret. She revealed that she remained satisfied with the decision. "I am a behind-the-scenes person," she explained. "I didn't get into this role to be a cover story. This was something that needed to be done. There was generally good feedback on it."

"The Conners" will see John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, Lecy Goranson and Michael Fishman reprising their respective roles.
