AceShowbiz - Prepare yourself, the world is ending soon. FX has just unearthed the first teaser for the eight season of "American Horror Story" titled "Apocalypse". The visuals surely teases that something frightening is about to happen.

Made in truly "AHS"-esque fashion, the teaser features a slew of disturbing images. It opens with an image of an hourglass womb incubating a demonic infant. The scene later transitions into a big nuclear explosion before two people emerge under the ground with one of them melted into a black skull. The 50-second video titled "Hourglass" also glimpses a satanic symbol that turns into ashes in the form of small human skulls.

"It's time," the show's official Twitter account writes alongside the footage.

The eighth season of the FX hit anthology series, which is a crossover between season 1 "Murder House" and season 3 "Coven", will see the return of Jessica Lange, who was last seen in season 4 "Freak Show". Jessica will reprise her role as Constance Langdon from "Murder House" in the upcoming season.

"Apocalypse" will also star Cody Fern, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Cheyenne Jackson, Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Adina Porter, Leslie Grossman and Joan Collins. Cody plays the grown-up version of Michael Langdon, Collins is portraying the grandmother of Evan' hairdresser character with Kathy portraying Miss Meade. Leslie is cast as Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt while Adina plays Dinah Stevens.

As for Emma, she will once again play her "Coven" character Madison Montgomery. Meanwhile, Sarah is set to reprise her roles as Cordelia Foxx from "Coven" and Billie Dean from "Murder House". She will also play a new character named Venable.

"American Horror Story: Apocalypse" premieres on September 12 on FX.
