The 'Seinfeld' alum combines his 'personal love for KFC with [his] sitcom experience' for the new ad.

AceShowbiz - Former Seinfeld star Jason Alexander has signed on to portray Kentucky Fried Chicken founder Colonel Harland Sanders in a series of new TV ads.

Beginning on Monday, August 06, the actor will be seen in the fast food chain's new $20 Fill Ups TV and online commercials.

Announcing the news, Jason tells WENN, "As the son of two working parents, there were plenty of dinner times when a bucket of chicken and all the fixins (sic) saved the day."

"It's been fun to combine my personal love for KFC with my sitcom experience into a new take on the role of Colonel Sanders."

Alexander picks up the all-white suit from the likes of George Hamilton, comedians Norm Macdonald, Jim Gaffigan, and Darrell Hammond, Rob Lowe, and Ray Liotta in recent TV campaigns.
