Responding to the rumors, the pop princess insists that she has no hard feelings against the femcee and they're still close as ever.

AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj have insisted they are still close friends after the rapper delayed her album release so it comes out on the same day as her chart rival.

The Starships hitmaker was originally set to release her upcoming fourth album Queen on 10 August, but she revealed on Wednesday, August 01, that she was pushing it back by a week as she was waiting to clear a Tracy Chapman sample, meaning it will come out on 17 August, the same day as Ariana's new record Sweetener.

Both Nicki and Ariana's fans were furious with the decision, complaining that the frequent collaborators, who have worked together on hits such as Side to Side, Bang Bang and Bed, will be competing with each other in the charts.

The popstar subsequently took to Twitter to insist that she has no hard feelings against Nicki and they're still as close as ever.

"That's my f**king sister. she's clearing a sample. buy and stream queen & sweetener aug 17 bye. these numbers don't mean as much to the artist as they do to y'all. jus want y'all to listen to the project," she wrote.

One fan told the 25-year-old that they wanted them both to do well, and she replied, "i get that and it's appreciated of course but it drives me crazy sometimes hehe jus enjoy (sic)."

Another user responded by insisting that charts and numbers do matter to them both, as they usually like or write tweets celebrating their accomplishments.

"wait so ... i'm not allowed to say thank u or celebrate w y'all when something does do well? u tell me (sic)," Ariana replied. "being grateful and having a competitive intention behind what you're creating are two very different things. learn to be loving n grateful.... it's real simple. i'm out."

After the No Tears Left to Cry singer told fans her and Nicki "laughed" at all the Twitter talk, the rapper retweeted her message and added: "I love this woman. Can't wait for the fans to benefit from all the hard work on both ends. We love your passion. You guys will be VERY happy. Trust. That's all I'll say."
