The 'Escapade' hitmaker dedicates her song 'Together Again' for the late patriarch as pictures of him are displayed on the big screen.

AceShowbiz - Janet Jackson paid tribute to her late father Joe and brother Michael on Saturday night, July 28 as she headlined the 2018 Panorama Music Festival in New York City.

The R&B icon thrilled fans with a hits-packed set, belting out tracks like No Sleeep, If, and the classic Rhythm Nation, and took a moment to remember her dad Joe Jackson, who died in June, by sharing old photos of father and daughter on the big screen as she launched into Together Again.

After the song, she pointed towards the sky and uttered, “I miss you - both of you,” an apparent reference to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, who passed away in 2009.

Janet's performance closed out the second day of the annual festival, after earlier appearances from singer St. Vincent, rapper Gucci Mane, and SZA, but hip-hop star Lil Wayne was a no-show after weather-related travel issues prevented him from getting to the Big Apple on time.

"New York! Panorama! Due to mother nature I was delayed & wont make it (sic)," he told his Twitter followers. "Kant wait to kome bak and rokk with my NY fans asap (sic)".

Wayne's cancellation was the latest disappointment for attendees, who had to be evacuated from the venue on Randall's Island on Friday evening due to "severe weather", forcing organisers to axe sets by Dua Lipa, Migos, Father John Misty, and headliner The Weeknd.

The three-day festival will wrap on Sunday night with The Killers bringing the 2018 bash to an end.
