The 'All the Stars' rapper will appear in the Sunday, July 29 episode of the show, though details about his character have not been revealed.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Kendrick Lamar is making his TV acting debut by guest starring on 50 Cent's hit series Power.

The Humble hitmaker will appear opposite 50, who also produces the show, in Sunday's (July 29) episode, but details about his character have not been revealed.

"Kendrick is a once in a generation talent and (creator) Courtney (A. Kemp), 50 and I felt it would be exciting to create a role for him in Power," executive producer Mark Canton says. "Everyone involved is thrilled to have him join the family."

While this is the first acting role for Lamar, he has previously revealed he wants to expand his resume and is keen to star as the villain if a sequel to Black Panther moves forward.

"I really enjoy (Michael B. Jordan role) Killmonger's character, just off the simple fact that he was a villain but he came with some real (talk)...," he told BBC Radio 1 in February. "He was a villain but he was loved and misunderstood. So, if I could, I'd play a Killmonger (type) for sure."
