The former Destiny's Child member assures her fans she's doing well after seeking treatment for depression.

AceShowbiz - Michelle Williams is doing much "better" after seeking treatment for mental health issues.

The Destiny's Child singer announced on Tuesday, July 17, that she was seeking professional help for her battle with depression.

Just days later, Michelle took to her Instagram Stories to update her fans on her condition and revealed that she was doing well.

"I feel the (love)! I just wanted to let you guys know I'm better," she wrote on Friday, adding the praying hands emoji.

The 37-year-old later posted the same message on her Twitter page, adding, "Progress not Perfection!"

In her original statement, Michelle shared that she had decided to go public with her depression battle in an effort to help other sufferers.

"For years I have dedicated myself to increasing awareness of mental health and empowering people to recognise when it's time to seek help, support and guidance from those that love and care for your wellbeing," she said in a statement. "Today I proudly, happily and healthily stand here as someone who will continue to always lead by example as I tirelessly advocate for the betterment of those in need."

Michelle, who became engaged to pastor Chad Johnson earlier this year, opened up about her struggles with depression during an appearance on U.S. daytime chat show The Talk last October, revealing she has battled the illness since the age of 13.

In the wake of the news, Missy Elliott was one of the first to offer support to the Soldier hitmaker.

"I want to lift our sis up in prayer because there are so many people battling this & many trying to deal with it alone," the 47-year-old rapper posted. "Please No jokes this is REAL & as human beings let's keep the ones who are openly dealing with it uplifted & be encouraging to them! Love u @RealMichelleW."
