The reality TV star is being sued by Chicago-based Vibes Media after it claimed her company, KKW Beauty, copied its logo.

AceShowbiz - Kim Kardashian has reportedly dismissed a lawsuit alleging she has copied a company's trademark for one of her new fragrances, as a "joke".

The reality TV star and entrepreneur is being sued by Chicago-based Vibes Media after it claimed her company, KKW Beauty, copied a logo it created and trademarked in 2012 for one of her new fragrances, Kimoji Vibes.

Representatives for the firm are believed to be seeking unspecified damages and have called for a judge to impose an injunction to prevent Kim from selling any more perfume, as well as requesting unsold fragrance bottles be destroyed.

However, according to sources close to the make-up mogul, the 37-year-old is unfazed by the threat of legal action and has laughed off the claims.

Insiders close to the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star have reportedly told editors at The Blast she believes the lawsuit against her beauty company is "ridiculous", insisting Vibes Media is merely looking for "media attention" after they filed a legal complaint instead of contacting the firm privately to discuss the situation.

Additionally, the source said Kim and her team think it's a "joke" that the company believes the logo - a text speech bubble emblazoned with the word vibes - was intentionally copied as Vibes Media's version features a blue outline and "could not be more different".

The mother-of-three dropped the new fragrance alongside two others, Kimoji Cherry and Kimoji Peach, exclusively on social media on Tuesday, July 17, with a series of images posted to her 114 million Instagram followers, one of which saw Kim dressed in lingerie pose alongside her new collection.

The three fragrances, retailing at $45 (£34) per bottle, reportedly pulled in $5 million (£3.8 million) within five minutes of release.

According to editors at TMZ, Kim has increased the volume of product available this time around after her first perfume launch in 2017 immediately sold out netting $10 million (£7.6 million) in sales in just one day.
