Davis allegedly cites 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for their separation in addition to seeking joint legal custody and primary physical custody of their two minor children.

AceShowbiz - Billy Bush is parting ways with Sydney Davis, his wife of 20 years. Ten months after announcing their separation, Davis filed for divorce from the former "Today" co-host on Friday, July 13.

According to TMZ, Davis cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason why she wants to end her marriage to the 46-year-old. It is also said that Davis seeks joint legal custody and primary physical custody of their two minor children. Davis is also seeking spousal support from the veteran TV journalist.

Bush and Davis, who tied the knot in 1998, share three children together, Josie (18), Mary (17) and Lillie (13). They called it quits after nearly two decades of marriage in September last year. His representative said in a statement, "After almost 20 years of marriage, they have separated for the moment to evaluate their life together. They love each other and their children deeply and are committed to a bright future."

The reason for their separation is still unclear, but a source previously noted that "there is no specific reason." The so-called insider said, "They have been together for 20 years. Like all marriages, [there are] ups and downs, and it takes work. There is no specific reason... Just having been together for a long time and trying to work through a marriage... nothing more, nothing less."

However, rumor has it that Bush's lewd conversation with Donald Trump during his days on "Access Hollywood" that was leaked in October last year left Davis upset. "She was so furious that she refused to speak with him for a while and she's still furious. They are having marriage problems. He didn't apologize to her for the embarrassment he caused in his statement."

In the outtakes from the "Access Hollywood" interview in 2005, Bush played along with Trump when the latter bragged about grabbing women "by the p***y." Due to the lewd conversation, Bush was suspended from his post as "Today" co-anchor before he was fired by NBC in October 2016.
