AceShowbiz - Elton John turned down the chance to become a judge on U.K. talent show The X Factor because he was too busy planning his final tour.
The Rocket Man's husband, David Furnish, has revealed Elton was approached to join Simon Cowell, Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field on the top-rated show, but he had to say no.
"There was talk about the possibility of a judging role for Elton, but he does 100 shows a year and he doesn't have time for X Factor judging roles," Furnish tells The Sun. "We're too busy with Elton's tour, which is starting in September".
The veteran rocker announced earlier this year that this world tour would be his last, because he wants to spend more time at home with his husband and their two sons.
