The rapper claims the HipHopDX.com used the snap of him without proper permission.

AceShowbiz - 50 Cent is suing the bosses of a hip-hop website over a photo they allegedly swiped from his Instagram account.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the rapper claims the HipHopDX.com used the snap of him without proper permission.

He also took issue with the article posted along with the photo, which poked fun at his claim of licensing the rights to his "get the strap" phrase for merchandise.

"This s**t is fake news...," he wrote on his Instagram account. "you better go fact check. Matter of fact I'm gonna sue you and this website for using my picture in the morning."

In the lawsuit, 50 says the text of the article was updated, but the photo remained.

He claims HipHopDX bosses should have known the photo was "copyrighted", and therefore didn't have "license, permission, or consent to reproduce and display" it.

He is seeking damages in excess of $150,000 (GBP114,000).
